Hey there! I’m Alexa and I would love to help you out with your furry family member. I have worked with animals for over 15 years, volunteering in shelters as a teen, watching friends dogs in college, and working through Rover in my 20s as a side hustle! This will be my fourth year working as a FULL-TIME pet care provider, and I have learned a lot of new tips and tricks for helping your pet. Being an small business owner has taught me a lot and it has shown me that taking care of pets is what makes me happy! And as a pet owner and lover myself, I know that our pets are more than just pets, they are family! I will make sure your furry family member gets the best care possible when you need a helping hand.
I have also worked part-time as a Pet Care Specialist at Greenlin Pet Resorts, and have received training and certifications regarding dog body language and handling dogs in groups. In the past I have worked in shelters playing with dogs, taking them on walks, giving them baths and obedience training. I have experience house sitting with dogs over short or long periods of time, and am comfortable giving oral medications and can help stick to strict medicinal schedules.
I’ve been a pet owner my whole life but I’ve been a pet parent for 9 years now! My cat Lily is my whole world and has taught me the importance of responsibility. Lily is 10 years old, has severe seasonal allergies with daily medication and eats a strict prescription diet.
Her favorite thing in the world is being brushed but her favorite time of the day is obviously food time! She is very smart, but also very stubborn, we do things on Lily’s schedule or we hear about it! She loves to cuddle on her terms, or play with cardboard and catnip:)
